Innes and Scott’s intimate winter wedding at Gleneagles Hotel was a perfect Scottish and French fusion! Their closest family and friends gathered for a day that was both relaxed and stylish. With family from France to join the celebration, it added a wonderful flair to the beautiful Scottish setting.

City Chambers Intimate Winter Wedding Ceremony

The wedding day began in Edinburgh, where Innes got ready at her lovely family home, there was so much excitement and anticipation in the air. The morning had a wonderful laid back and relaxed vibe, before heading to the Edinburgh City Chambers on the Royal Mile for the ceremony. As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, I always feel inspired by the City Chambers – the setting is intimate, perfect for smaller gatherings like this. After the ceremony, we took advantage of the crisp, dry winter weather to capture the all important confetti throw and then afterwards, a few photos on the Royal Mile and City Chambers, before heading to Gleneagles!

Beautiful Winter Light at Gleneagles Hotel Wedding

From the Edinburgh City Chambers, the celebrations moved to the magnificent Gleneagles Hotel. The short journey to Auchterarder was very picturesque for December. Once we arrived, the snow-dusted Glendevon and Ochil Hills provided the perfect backdrop for more photos. The cold, winter air was invigorating, and we made the most of the winter light to capture some stunning moments.

Inside Gleneagles, friends and family enjoyed champagne and canapés in the beautiful surroundings. The atmosphere was lively and joyous, with a mix of French and Scottish traditions adding a unique touch to the day. Later, the couple and their guests made their way to the Parlour Room, a private room for an intimate, candle-lit dinner. The décor was elegant and stylish, with whites and pale greens perfectly complimenting the cosy, wintry feel.
