Sharing this stylish Edinburgh Elopement at City Chambers on the Royal Mile. Rachel and Christopher opted to celebrate with close family and friends. An intimate, chic winter wedding on the Royal Mile after their original wedding had been postponed a few times. Due to a little worldwide pandemic!

Elopements are rather magical and the City Chambers is the perfect venue if you’re planning an intimate ‘I do’ in the Old Town. Particularly at Christmas time, the hustle and bustle in the City at this time really adds to the atmosphere! Furthermore, add in the magnificent architecture and you really couldn’t wish for a better setting.

The Ceremony

After the ceremony, I met up with the newlyweds and their gorgeous Border Terrier pup, Stan! As a result of restrictions during this time, photographs inside were limited to guests only. In the meantime and despite a few restrictions, we embraced the unusually mild weather for December and went for a wander around a few iconic landmarks in and around the Royal Mile for some laid back photos!

The Photoshoot

I’m always excited when a couple wants to include their furry friends in their wedding photographs! It’s always a good idea to have a trusted friend or family member chaperone your pup during the wedding as they can sometimes be a little overwhelmed with all the excitement. As a result, Stan was extremely well behaved and almost stole the show!

Although it would have been hard to upstage Rachel, as she looked amazing, her chic, stylish outfit complimented her beautiful bouquet from Pollination Florist beautifully!

Finally, after Stan had been on his best behaviour for the photographs, posing as a natural in front of the camera! A wonderfully stylish and laid back morning and afterwards, Rachel and Christopher continued their celebrations with their close family and friends at an intimate late lunch at Leftfield in Bruntsfield.
