You’re going to love this his stylish Balbirnie House Wedding! It is extra special to me as Jilly & Billy are good friends of mine. We have a mutual love of Dachshunds and met through our pups, so when Jilly asked me to be her wedding photographer, of course, I was delighted! As an Edinburgh Wedding Photographer, I get to work at some of the most amazing venues all over Scotland. Balbirnie is definitely a firm favourite, a stunning Georgian Mansion situated in the Kingdom of Fife between St Andrews and Edinburgh it sits within 600 acres of parkland with stunning gardens, just perfect for your wedding portraits.

While I photographed Jilly’s pretty wedding details, Morag was busy photographing Billy and the boys. The ceremony took place in the Library and afterwards the guests prepared for the spectacular confetti throw! Afterwards, we took a short walk to the woodland adjacent to the house, where the September sun was in a perfect position to capture the newly weds on the Balbirnie swing! After photographing some all important family photographs and the bridal party, the guests sat down for some entertaining and heartfelt speeches.

To summarise, we had the most wonderful day with Jilly and Billy, it was relaxed, elegant and overall really good fun! Congratulations x

I met with Jilly and her bridesmaids for Bridal Preparations in the bridal suite at Balbirnie House, the perfect space for prep and photographs, particularly for the pretty, soft light. Jilly’s dress was from Gwenne Wedding Services and the shoes were from Badgley Mishka. Furthermore, the gorgeous bouquets were put together by Jilly’s Auntie Clare (what a talent!).

Ainsley from Wedding Day Dressing was also on hand to help Jilly into her beautiful dress, she organised the petticoats and buttons and ensured her exquisite dress was flawless. Ainsley was a welcomed addition to the wedding prep team!
