If you’re planning a Seton Collegiate Church Wedding in East Lothian, you will love Sarah & Richard’s romantic ceremony at this beautiful, Historic Scotland, 15th Century Church. The Church is nestled in between beautifully manicured gardens and woodland, perfect for couples looking for something just that little bit different! Afterwards, the newlyweds and all their guests celebrated at Archerfield House and Waterfront.
Seton Collegiate Church Ceremony
Firstly, the church dates back to 15th Century. Secondly, it is also one of the prettiest East Lothian locations for a wedding ceremony. Nestled within pretty woodland, a short walk from the main road it certainly has the ‘wow factor’ for your guests in a peaceful and rural setting. The light inside is just perfect for a romantic wedding ceremony and afterwards boasts a lovely space for your guests to mill around and take it all in.

Why I think Archerfield House Is The Perfect Location
Archerfield House is ideally situated if you’re marrying at the church, approximately 15 minutes by car. Who wants to spend hours in a car on your wedding day? Sarah and her bridesmaids had a lovely chilled morning preparing for her wedding day in the beautiful bridal suite. I particularly love the light in the main bedroom, perfect for capturing those little details and bridal portraits!

Seton Collegiate Church is also a wonderful space for group portraits

Archerfield House Wedding Reception
After a lovely ceremony, the guests made their way to Archerfield House and were treated to a champagne reception in the Main House. Meanwhile, I took Sarah and Richard for a quick walk beside the House for some couple portraits. All of a sudden the wind picked up, the photographs don’t show how windy it really was! In any event, not wanting to see Sarah’s veil fly away never to be seen again, we returned to the house. As a result, when the weather doesn’t quite go to plan it can work well for photographs, I love the image taken in the house with the window light.

Archerfield Waterfront Pavillion is an Amazing Space for a Wedding
How magnificent does Archerfield Waterfront Pavillion look? Secret Garden Events Floristry had certainly worked their magic and the room was transformed into the most stylish space with pastel greens and vintage whites.

If you want to keep your guests entertained during dinner book Singing Waiters!
The guests were entertained with a surprise appearance from some Singing Waiters! All of a sudden the room was in a flurry of excitement and met with much approval from the guests! Always great fun, luckily we (the photographers) were in on the surprise. Always let your photographer know if you’re planning a surprise, as we always want to be there to capture it!

Archerfield Waterfront Pavillion is a wonderful space for a wedding reception, from the wall-to-ceiling windows overlooking The Firth of Forth to the starlight ceiling and atmospheric lighting to transform it from dinner to the best party ever!
