Royal College of Physicians Wedding in Edinburgh!

As an Edinburgh Wedding Photographer I get to work in the most amazing venues. It was so lovely to be back at The Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh on Queen Street to photograph Amy and Craig’s stylish wedding.

I met up with Amy and the girls in the New Town for a buzzy but relaxed bridal prep, the apartment was so light and airy with lots of space for hair and make up and six bridesmaids and a flower girl!! A perfect location to capture all of Amy’s pretty details and afterwards for some lovely bridal portraits, before heading up to Royal College of Physicians for the ceremony.

The Royal College of Physicians is a magnificent wedding and reception venue, situated in the heart of the City Centre on Queen Street, the large wooden doors lead you up a magnificent staircase to an array of beautiful reception rooms with a stunning library, the magnificent Great Hall, stunning corridors and balconies! A Wedding Photographer’s dream!  After some photographs with Craig and the boys in the courtyard, he waited for his beautiful bride in the New Library.  Amy and Craig chose a Humanist Ceremony with Fiona Flannigan, a relaxed and personal ceremony, it’s always so lovely hearing each couples special story, how they met and fell in love, told in a humorous and emotional way. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house!

Royal College of Physicians – Queen Street Garden Photographs

After some celebratory champagne in the Cullen Suite the guests were left to explore the many rooms of the RCPE while we headed off across the road to Queen Street Gardens. The Royal College of Physicians have a key to the private gardens, a perfect setting away from it all in the heart of the city centre. We made the most of the dry weather before heading back to mingle with their guests before being called in to dinner in the Great Hall!  Before the evening celebrations Amy and Craig cut their magnificent cake, made my Craig’s talented Auntie Janice!

Amy and Craig were just so lovely together and obviously made for each other and joy to work with. We had so much fun with you both and your lovely friends and family. A truly amazing happy, fun filled wedding – thank you so much for asking us along! x
