Principal Hotel Edinburgh Winter Wedding

A wonderful crisp Winter’s Day for Catriona and Lewis’ wedding at the Principal Hotel in George Street in the heart of Edinburgh. Such a pretty wedding, stylish and festive and that ballroom looked just magnificent! I do love a Winter Wedding, especially in Edinburgh.

I met up with Cat and the girls during bridal prep and captured all her pretty wedding details and gorgeous flowers.  The ballroom looked magnificent and dressed to perfection by Save The Date Collective with holly, christmas trees and sparkles, to give the perfect Christmas vibe. After an intimate and romantic ceremony with close family and friends, we grabbed a taxi to nearby Queen Street Gardens for some quick photographs, the weather so was so mild and perfect light for our late afternoon portrait session before heading back to join their guests for the reception. I love the peace and quiet and the prettiness of Queen Street Gardens for wedding photographs.  Set in the heart of the New Town it really is the perfect setting!

We even managed to get outside in the early evening in the mild winter weather and capture the Christmas lights at The Dome and George Street. All so festive and twinkly, Edinburgh is pretty at Christmas time and George Street is just perfect as a backdrop to show off those pretty lights.  Definitely gets you in the mood for Christmas.
