It was lovely to be back at Prestonfield House to photograph Niomi and David’s stylish wedding!

Niomi opted for a chilled bridal prep with her bridesmaids and family on the Royal Mile. Meanwhile, I met up with the boys and photographed the guest’s arrival at Duddingston Kirk before Niomi arrived.

Duddingston Kirk is a perfect location if you’re having your reception at Prestonfield House, furthermore, it overlooks the iconic Arthurs Seat on the outskirts of Edinburgh, consequently a great backdrop for your wedding photographs.

After a lovely ceremony, Niomi and David walked through a magnificent confetti tunnel with all their guests before heading back to Prestonfield, where there was plenty of time for all the guests to enjoy the canapés and fizz on the lawn outside the Stables.  Meanwhile, we had a relaxed walk around the grounds to capture a few relaxed photographs before returning to the reception. Couple portraits take no longer than half an hour and as a result, the newlyweds had plenty of time to catch up with their guests and enjoy the canapés!

Prestonfield House Stables is a perfect wedding venue for larger weddings in Edinburgh, set in a circular, lavish Ballroom and usually decorated in opulent dark reds and dramatic lighting.  However, Niomi and David had opted for a fresh white decor with soft lighting and pale, summer blooms. The ballroom looked spectacular and was transformed into the most magnificent dance floor for the evening party, with fairy lights and unique lighting, significantly creating a fabulous party atmosphere!
