FAQFrequently Asked Questions!

Destination Wedding Photographer, Italy, FAQFrequently asked questions for your wedding photographer!  If you have any other questions, please do get in touch!

Will I get a USB of my photo’s?    I include a personalised USB stick with all your wedding photographs for you with printing rights for your own personal use in all my wedding packages. The USB stick is presented in a presentation box with all your images ready to upload to your computer for printing and web use for you to share via email and on Facebook if you wish.

Will I get copyright of the images?    As the photographer I always retain the copyright. (This is standard within the industry). But I do issue you with printing rights for personal use. Which means you can use them as you wish except for commercial use.

Can I see samples of your work and any albums?  Yes, of course. I always have a selection of albums ready for you to see when we get together. I am available by appointment Monday – Thursday. You can also see my portfolio on my website and current work on my blog.

How long do you stay for on the day?   It varies from couple to couple, but typical full day cover is approximately 8 – 9 hours coverage starting from two hours before your ceremony. This will tell a story of your whole wedding day, including pre ceremony preparations, the reception and the party afterwards! If you wish me to stay after 9pm there is an additional charge.

Do you travel for weddings?   I’m based in Edinburgh and always happy to travel for your wedding. If you’re planning a wedding abroad I charge travel at cost. For UK based weddings further than 45 miles outside of Edinburgh, travel expenses will apply. If your venue if more than a 2 hour journey, overnight accommodation is required and charged at cost.

How many photographs will I receive and when will they be ready after my wedding?  For a full day coverage you will receive approximately 450+ unique images, all individually edited to a fine art standard.  You will receive you full gallery within 6-8 weeks from your wedding day.  However, I do send you a preview within 2 weeks!

Do you have insurance?  Yes, I have full insurance to cover all my equipment.  Public and Products Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance and I always bring back up cameras and equipment with me…… just in case! I would highly recommend you have wedding insurance too!

How long have you been photographing weddings?  I have been in business since 2009 and in that time I think I’ve shot over 300+ beautiful weddings all over the UK!

Do you offer Engagement Shoots?  I do! Engagement Shoots are a great way to get to know you and to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day! It’s also a fab opportunity to chat through your wedding plans! They can be added to your wedding package at any time.  Due to my weekends being taken up with weddings I do ask that they take place during the week (Monday – Thursday) either during the afternoon or early evening for the best light, so please do set aside some time in your diary if you wish to book! Check out my Pinterest Page for some Engagement Shoot inspiration!

What happens if you’re ill in the day?  I don’t think anyone can guarantee they will never be ill but it would have to be something pretty serious for me to not turn up!  I have an excellent networking circle of similar style photographers and would arrange for one of them to stand in for me. However, be rest assured, I would do everything in my power to be there personally!

Can we meet up prior to booking you?  Of course, I actively encourage it!  If you don’t live in Edinburgh we can always arrange a telephone or Skype call, it’s important we share the same approach and are a good fit together!

How do we book you?  You can contact me here. If I’m available and you wish to go ahead and book me, I will send you my online booking form to complete. I will then prepare your wedding contract with all the details of your photography package together with my Wedding Guide.  You can then relax until nearer your wedding date.

*Please note, I do get booked up quite quickly and am unable to provisionally hold dates with a booking fee and a signed contract.

Do get in touch here if you have any other questions you’d like to ask me?
