Dalhousie Castle Wedding Photographer

I had the most amazing day capturing their elegant and stylish castle wedding at Dalhousie Castle in Bonnyrigg, just outside Edinburgh. Since Kayleigh and Sameh were living overseas, they had carefully planned their entire destination wedding in Scotland from afar. Their special day was all about bringing together family and friends from around the world for a truly unforgettable celebration. And from start to finish, it was nothing short of magical!

To begin the day, I joined Kayleigh and her bridesmaids in the stunning bridal suite, where the excitement was building as they got ready. While the girls focused on hair and makeup, I took the opportunity to capture all the elegant details—the delicate bridal accessories, sparkling shoes, and breathtaking bouquets from Spiral Flowers. Meanwhile, down in the courtyard, Sameh and his groomsmen were warmly welcoming guests. This gave me the perfect chance to photograph relaxed, natural portraits of the boys, making the most of the golden morning light.

As the final moments before the ceremony arrived, anticipation filled the air. Upstairs, Kayleigh’s bridesmaids helped her into her stunning gown, adding the finishing touches to her elegant bridal look. Then came one of the most emotional moments of the day—when her father saw her for the first time, ready to walk her down the aisle. With happy tears and beaming smiles, they made their way to the ceremony, where Sameh waited in the enchanting setting of Dalhousie Castle’s historic wedding venue.

The ceremony was laid back and emotional with a surprise delivery from the resident owl with the rings, who had other ideas on where to go for the delivery!  All followed by a champagne reception on the terrace. We were so lucky with the weather and Kayleigh and Sameh were naturals in front of the camera and we took full advantage of that gorgeous light in that late afternoon sun, just perfect for wedding photographs!

Dinner and some of the best speeches ever, followed by dancing, lots of dancing!  A beautiful, stylish summer Dalhousie Castle Wedding and an amazing day and I had so much fun with you both and your lovely family and friends. Big Congratulations!
