When you get married at Archerfield House, you gain access to some of the most wonderful locations around the estate, add in the most spectacular September weather and this makes for one of the most glorious weddings at Archerfield House for Lindsay and Mark!
Bridal Prep at Archerfield
As soon as I arrived at Archerfield House, I met with Lindsay and her bridesmaids in the main bedroom suites, always such pretty light and the most amazing space for Bridal Prep, particularly that dreamy light in the dressing area! Furthermore, the stunning wedding flowers were put together by Victoria at Secret Garden Events and looked amazing. I always enjoy capturing the bridal prep and all the pretty wedding details, in addition to getting to know the wedding party. Equally as important, Mark was being photographed in the gardens with the boys before heading off to Dirleton Kirk to greet the guests arriving in style on the big red bus!
Confetti at Dirleton Kirk
After the ceremony, the newlyweds emerged into a magnificent confetti tunnel with all their guests (I love confetti!) before heading back to Archerfield House for a drinks reception at the front of the house in the glorious sunshine! Meanwhile, the guests were enjoying a champagne reception in the sun. After some champagne, we used the nearby woodland for some romantic couple shots before heading down to Archerfield Waterfront for some beautiful shots on the rocks overlooking the Forth! Then back to the Waterfront, it looked magnificent and was dressed to perfection by Secret Garden Events and the Archerfield Events team! Another added benefit of having your wedding at the Archerfield Waterfront is those stunning views!
Golden Hour Photographs at Archerfield
In general, one of the things I love most about photographing a wedding at Archerfield down at the Waterfront is the magnificent Scottish sunset for those quick golden hour sunset photographs. For this reason, it is important to remember the window for sunset photographs is short, for this reason, trust your photographer when they say it’s time to go! In general, ten minutes after dinner is enough time to walk to the rocks outside the Waterfront to capture the most amazing hazy sunset. Notably a perfect end to an amazing day!
