Here’s 5 reasons why you should order a wedding album.

Back in the day (less than 20 years ago!) before digital wedding photography and online galleries were the norm. The only way to properly relive your wedding day was to print a few of your favourite images on paper as photographs to display, the rest were stored in a box or displayed in a wedding album!  Unlike today with the shift to online galleries, you can easily share all your images instantly with friends and family through social media and email and store them all on a hard drive or up in that storage Cloud!

While it’s easy to see why wedding albums are an afterthought for most in this digital age, even couples who have the best intentions to order an album after their wedding day, soon have other priorities after their wedding day or it gets put to the bottom of the ‘To Do List’ and in turn gets forgotten about over time!

Firstly, no need to worry about changing technology, wifi connections, software updates, Cloud storage and out of date USB ports (Apple computers already don’t include USB ports). Wedding albums are timeless!

Secondly, nothing compares to holding and viewing your own physical, unique wedding album and reliving your wedding day. Viewing your images on a computer screen or your phone just isn’t the same.  I think it makes you feel different about your photographs seeing them in fine art print, holding and touching your custom-made, timeless album.  You’ll have more of an emotional connection and you’ll probably find yourself looking at your album much more often than if they were in a digital gallery too.

Designing a wedding album is time-consuming.  As a result, couples often say they don’t know where to start or which images to include.  I’ll work with you to design an aesthetically pleasing layout using my professional album design software. Equally important, you’ll also be able to proof your album in case you want to make any changes online to ensure it’s exactly how you’d like it before going to print.  

What About the Cost?

Wedding Albums are definitely an investment and can range between £450 – £750.  They are high-end quality products designed to last a lifetime and beyond. Depending on how many pages you’d like to include, genuine leather or fabric covers and the type of cover personalisation can all reflect the end price.  Because of the different styles and sizes, there are many options to fit different budgets. I usually suggest a minimum of around 20 double-page spreads(40 pages) to showcase your complete wedding day.  Furthermore, pages can be added if you’d like to include more.
